Networks are clamoring for live sports, Advertisers are seeing less value
in traditional TV shows. Live sports keeps you hanging around more during the commercials.
Ask yourself how much more are you watching DVR's or shows on Net Flicks type broadcasting than you were 3-5 years ago? You do it to avoid the commercials and watch them faster. I know I personally watch two shows in about the same time as one show with commercials, so I basically don't watch shows live unless they are sports.
With the Go-Go Society we live in...that is how most people are doing it and the live sports is the answer to getting advertiser exposure.
